Agritechnica 2023: Dewulf bringing something for everyone

This year, the world's largest agricultural trade fair will again grace the familiar exhibition halls of Hanover, Germany for eight days. Dewulf, full-liner in machines for the cultivation of potatoes and root crops, plans to bring a balanced mix of machines to this edition, as always, and looks forward to interacting with visitors. The machines on hand – a box filler, a planter, and a potato and carrot harvester – will be available for your close inspection at stand G23 in Hall 25 from 12 to 18 November.

Dewulf's new box filler: the MB 34

At the 19th edition of Agritechnica the successor to the Miedema MB 33 will be presented to the general public for the first time. Beyond the new look, there are many innovations. To start with, the extremely quiet machine – suitable for box lengths from 120 to 260 cm – is fully electrically driven. Then there is the 4.3-inch screen, familiar from the ML 80 series, for changing settings such as the product detection distance. The filling conveyor, fitted with tracking belts, can be moved proportionally depending on the filling capacity. The well-known strengths of the MB series, such as product friendliness, capacity and low power consumption naturally remain.

Certa 40 Integral presented for the first time indoors

The new complete solution within Dewulf's planting technology, the Certa 40 Integral, will of course be present at the stand. The machine that combines soil cultivation, planting and ridging in one working pass will be presented in the following version:

  • The cultivator's nine large wheels carry the weight of the machine and provide the automatic working depth control. As a result, they guarantee sufficient carrying capacity even in light and/or loose soil.
  • The cultivator is an evolution of the SC 300 Compact. Moreover, the new web is of the highest quality, and the rotor shaft is fitted with thicker flanges. The cultivator has an angle sensor on the rear board, which controls the cylinders for the nine depth wheels.
  • The machine's superstructure, in this case, the 3.5-tonne bunker and the planting elements, form a single unit and are optionally equipped with weighing cells. The planting elements are an upgraded version of the long-established CP elements. Among other improvements, the planting tube is adjustable to accommodate the tuber size, and each planting element is individually hydraulically driven. As such, it is easy to create spray tracks and variable planting is possible.
  • The opener beam is mounted in a parallelogram fitted with cylinders, allowing the planting depth to be easily adjusted from the cabin.
  • The covering discs, measuring 410 mm in diameter, are each mounted on their suspension arm. The discs for each pair of rows are attached to a central hollow section using a top link, with the pressure on those discs adjustable from the side.
  • Every part of the control system – from the control box to the software – communicates via ISOBUS. This in-house designed system can be accompanied by a 12-inch Topcon touchscreen and joystick.

Enduro: cross-pollination of know-how and innovation

Along with the Enduro, Dewulf will also be bringing their 4-row self-propelled harvester on tyres, which excels with unprecedented performance on three axles. The harvester represents a balanced mix of years of expertise in harvesting engineering and inventive technology. Among other things, it combines excellent sieving capacity with infinitely adjustable inclination of the cleaning module. With a selectable range of 0 to 12 degrees, the driver can set the cleaning capacity of this module as desired from the cabin. The axial module further demonstrates great flexibility, as it can be bypassed at any inclination angle. With a large, practical capacity of nine tonnes, the 4-row machine's two-part bunker is also the largest within its market segment. Moreover, thanks to the Soil-Saver technology, the machine presents impressive ground pressure figures (max . 1.8 kg/cm²). The Enduro provides an optimal harvesting experience via the user-friendly control unit, ergonomic N-Joystick and large, intuitive screen.

P3K Profi

The 1-row mounted top lifting harvester with discharge elevator, the P3K Profi, ensures both a minimum falling height of the product due to a separate cross conveyor under the knives as well as an optimal filling of the 3-row discharge elevator. The 3-point linked top lifting harvester is equipped with the unique maintenance-free ‘Gearbox Drive’, with which two heavy-duty plate wheels guarantee perfect synchronisation of the knives. That ensures its harvesting capacity is increased considerably, while at the same time, a high-quality end product remains safeguarded.
